Both VoluME Pro and VoluME Pro Maxx use the same 100% human remy hair and high-quality plastic materials — both deliver extreme flexibility, durability, and comfort. Here's the difference:
- VoluME Pro Maxx — Lace front, hand-knotted onto the mechanism for a completely invisible, grows-from-the-root finish. Ideal for the hairline and temple, wearing hair up, and root volume.
- VoluME Pro — Hair attached to a high-density plastic band, nearly seamless at 1/12 of an inch. Best for all-over volume, length, and everyday wear.
- Both can be used together for maximum length, volume, and style.
Zip Loxx offers one hair type — 100% human remy hair — available in both VoluME Pro and VoluME Pro Maxx across 27 colors.

Installation
Zip Loxx uses a weightless, flexible plastic zip mechanism that locks into place with the Zip Loxx Ztool. No glue, tape, heat, bonding, or sewing — ever.
We always recommend a professional stylist for proper application, customization, and style. That said, Zip Loxx was designed to be fast, easy, and user-friendly — making DIY installs completely possible.
⚠️ DIY installs should be adjusted every 2 weeks to maintain hair and scalp health.
Use the pad of your thumb to flip open the first prong on the plastic card. Once open, continue opening each prong by gently pulling apart the mechanism with one hand while securing it with the other.
Place one hand on the back end of the mechanism. With your other hand, use the pad of your thumb to flip open the first prong. Hold each opened prong and gently pull the mechanism apart until it slides out.
Wear & Care
No — Zip Loxx are not clip-ins and do not need to be removed at night. The hybrid mechanism is designed for comfortable, sleep-in wear.
Yes. With a micro bead added by a professional stylist, you get 4–6 weeks of wearability per install. Zip Loxx can handle washing, heat styling, exercise, and swimming.
⚠️ For DIY installs, adjust every 2 weeks to protect your hair and scalp.
After about 2 weeks, your hair grows and the mechanism naturally moves away from the root — that's your cue for an adjustment. Professional installs: every 4–6 weeks. DIY installs: every 2 weeks. An adjustment is simply removing and re-installing your extensions.
Zip Loxx extensions are reusable with unlimited re-installs. We guarantee the hair for 6 months — with proper care, they can last 12 months or more.
Zip Loxx is designed to stay securely in place. Slippage would only occur from significant force or an improper install.
⚠️ Slippage is more likely in individuals with very fine hair.
Wash with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Proper care extends the life of your extensions well beyond the 12-month mark.
